Tasty Mama’s Cornbread Dressing!
what you need:
2 cups sliced onions
2 cups sliced celery
1/2 cup butter
4 cups finely broken cooked bread
4 cups finely broken quick bread
1 tablespoon salt
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon dried sage
2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
turkey broth
4 giant eggs, beaten
how to build it:
Melt butter in a very skillet; add the onions and celery and saute till tender.
Combine cooked bread and quick bread in a very giant bowl and blend.
Add onions and celery and their change of state liquid, the salt, pepper, sage, and poultry seasoning and blend completely.
Using a bulb baster, add barely enough turkey organs broth to create a really dampish mixture, then stir within the eggs and scrape the dressing into an oversized lubricated baking pan or dish.
